E³ provided by Temple University provides Philadelphia residents (ages 16 to 24 years old) with support in furthering their Education, Employment & Empowerment skills!  This program helps participants with aspects such as earning a high school equivalency (i.e., GED/HiSet/ High School Diploma) and offers job training in sectors such as Healthcare and Technology. We also offer other forms of professional development and career counseling. Our services are free.  

Examples of Services include:

  • GED/HiSet Prep Courses
  • 21st Century Skills Development
  • Transition to Post-Secondary (after High School) Education
  • Industry Recognized Credentials Training (i.e., EMT, CNA, EMHR, etc.)
  • Paid Work Experience Opportunities

Target Audience

Philadelphia youth & young adults (ages 16-24) looking for support in gaining a high school credential, interested in post-secondary education/training, and any other career-specific skills. Youth and young adults in this age group who are Out-of-School are eligible. Eligible individuals with court system history are strongly encouraged to apply. 

Eligibility Requirements
  • Philadelphia Resident 

  • 16 to 24 years 

  • Not currently connected to school or work 

  • Juvenile and adult justice-involved youth and young adults are encouraged to apply 

Application Process

Step 1:  Contact e3@temple.edu or 215-204-3199 to indicate interest & receive additional information.  

Step 2:  Complete the application through Philadelphia Youth Network (PYN) https://www.pyninc.org/e3

Step 3:  More information about programs offered will be communicated to those accepted. 

 

Note:  You will be asked to provide documents such as Birth Certificate, Proof of Residency, Social Security Card, etc. We can assist you in securing these documents.
